Connect, reconnect, and troubleshoot Notion without sharing credentials or customer content through support channels.

1. Before you start

  • Choose the Notion workspace and pages or data sources Seedling should read.
  • Create an internal integration with read content, read comments, and user information without email capabilities.
  • Add the integration to each intended page or data source and review inherited child access.
  • Do not send Notion credentials, customer content, personal information, or private record data by email or through an ordinary support ticket.

2. Connect Notion

  1. Copy the internal integration secret from the Notion integration configuration.
  2. In Seedling, open Connections, select Notion, and choose personal or workspace scope.
  3. Paste the secret and connect.
  4. Confirm the verified Notion workspace or bot identity and allow the shared content to synchronize.

3. Authorization and connection problems

Integration secret rejected
Copy the current internal integration secret again and confirm the integration has not been deleted or rotated.
Page not found
Open the page's connections menu in Notion and explicitly add the integration; workspace membership alone is insufficient.
Comments missing
Enable the read comments capability and confirm the integration can access the parent content.

4. Missing or delayed data

  1. Confirm the page or data source remains explicitly shared with the exact Notion integration.
  2. Check whether the content was moved under a different parent, archived, deleted, or had the integration removed.
  3. Confirm the required read capability remains enabled after any integration configuration change.
  4. Allow incremental synchronization and provider retry handling to complete. A temporary provider failure does not delete previously synchronized data.
  5. If the issue remains, contact support@tryseedling.ai with the Seedling workspace, safe timestamps, and non-sensitive provider record identifiers. Do not include credentials or record contents.

5. Rotate or replace access

Never use email or an ordinary support ticket to transfer the old or replacement credential.

  1. Rotate the internal integration secret in Notion.
  2. Replace the secret on the exact Seedling connection and confirm the same intended workspace and shared resources.
  3. Verify the old secret no longer works after the replacement is active.
