Zoom support

Install, authorize, reconnect, and troubleshoot the Zoom integration without sharing credentials or sensitive meeting content.

1. Before you start

  • Choose the Seedling workspace that should own the Zoom connection.
  • Confirm that you are a current administrator of that Seedling workspace.
  • For the Marketplace app, use a Zoom account administrator who can authorize an admin-managed app and the displayed account-level read scopes.
  • For a customer-managed connection, create a Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth app with the scopes listed in the Zoom integration guide.

2. Install from the Zoom App Marketplace

  1. Sign in to Seedling and open Apps or Connections in the intended workspace.
  2. Open Zoom, choose the Seedling Marketplace option, and review the data-use notice.
  3. Continue to Zoom and authorize the requested read-only account scopes. Zoom may require approval from an account administrator.
  4. Return to Seedling and confirm that Zoom shows as connected.
  5. Allow the initial synchronization to complete before evaluating expected meeting and recording coverage.

3. Connect a customer-managed app

Seedling encrypts the credential bundle and never returns it to the frontend. Do not send these values to Seedling by email or through an ordinary support ticket.

  1. Create and activate a Server-to-Server OAuth app in the customer’s Zoom account.
  2. Add the exact read-only scopes listed in the Zoom integration guide.
  3. In Seedling, choose the customer-managed option and enter the Zoom account ID, client ID, and client secret through the connection form.
  4. Review and accept the same Zoom data-use notice used for the Marketplace option.
  5. Connect and verify that Seedling reports a successful Zoom account connection.

4. Authorization problems

Authorization cancelled
Return to the Zoom connection in Seedling and start again. No connection is created when the authorization is cancelled.
Missing scopes
Confirm that every displayed read scope is enabled and approved in Zoom, then restart authorization. Seedling fails closed on a partial grant.
Administrator required
Confirm current Seedling workspace-admin access and use a Zoom account administrator who can approve the app.
Account already installed
A Zoom account can map to only one Seedling workspace in the same environment. Contact support with the workspace names and Zoom account administrator’s work email; do not send credentials.
Authorization required
A rejected token refresh moves the connection into a reauthorization state. Reconnect using the same installation mode to replace the saved credential.

5. Synchronization troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that Zoom shows as connected and that the authorizing Zoom account remains active.
  2. Confirm that all required scopes remain granted and that Zoom account policy has not disabled the app.
  3. Allow for Zoom processing time when a recording, transcript, or AI Companion summary has only recently completed.
  4. Reconnect if Seedling displays Authorization required. Reauthorization preserves the existing workspace route and replaces the credential.
  5. If data remains missing, contact support with safe timestamps, meeting identifiers, the Seedling workspace, and the affected data class. Do not send recordings, transcripts, tokens, or client secrets unless Seedling provides a secure collection method.

6. Contact Zoom integration support

Include your name, work email, organization, Seedling workspace, installation mode, what you expected, what happened, when it began, and any safe error text. Never include passwords, OAuth tokens, client secrets, private keys, recordings, or transcripts in the initial email.
